Waiting for the turkey

While the aroma of turkey wafts through the house, these appetizers will be welcome as your family and friends wait for the main event.

Surprise your guests by serving Butterfly Brittle’s Zesty Pistachio Brittle with cheese, such as Gruyere, Brie de Melun, Camembert and Romano. Of course, these complimentary flavors are further enhanced by a glass of wine or champagne.

Sierra Madre Grocery Co.’s Sierra Seasoning Blend makes Sweet & Savory Mixed Nuts Nuts (above).

A beautiful appetizer that requires absolutely no work from you (and can be kept in the freezer until you need it) is 143 Not Found’s Creamy Gorgonzola Torta with Figs.

Festive beverages

Make the perfect milkshake for Thanksgiving weekend (below) with Agave Dream Cinnamon Ice Cream.

Unusual flavors combine tastily in Fentimans' Dandelion Holiday Punch.

Adult celebrators will love the Apple Pie Martini, below, made with Sonoma Syrup Co.'s Cinnamon Syrup.

Turkey with a twist

Why not surprise your turkey, and your guests, with a twist on the time-honored holiday bird?

Make a Grilled Crazzberry Chipotle Turkey (above) with a sauce that's jazzed up with Chipotle Paste from Art of Chipotle. Also recipes for great side dishes for your feast.

Another suggestion for your turkey with a twist is Bella Chi-Cha’s Turkey, which uses Bella Chi-Cha Sundried Tomato Pesto. For a 12-pound bird, use a 7-ounce container of Bella Chi-Cha's pesto.

Together with turkey

Sauce Goddess’ recipe for Potatoes with Bacon Maple Sauce (below) uses their Sweet Heat BBQ Sauce. This sauce is equally good on sweet potatoes or yams.

Make these delectable and easy recipes from Sonoma Syrup Co.:
Baked Squash with Vanilla Bean Syrup
Vanilla Bean Glazed Sweet Potatoes.

Two recipes from Oren’s Kitchen add spice–and crunch—to your dinner: Green Beans and Spinach Slad with Rosemary Almonds and Manchego Cheese, and Sautéed Brussels Sprouts with Cashews and Parsley.

Makers of many condiments and sauces that use the slightly smokey spiciness of chipotle peppers (smoke-dried jalapeños), Art of Chipotle's recipes for side dishes include:
Sweet Heat Glazed Carrots (above),
Chipotle Whipped Sweet Potatoes, and
Cranberry Chipotle Sauce (below).

Finishing touch

If you're ready to start a new holiday tradition for Thanksgiving dessert, one everyone will agree on is B & R Farms's recipe for Apricot Pie (below).
