Hummus with SautÚd Mushrooms & Onions

8 ouncesFresh mushrooms
1 largeOnion
2 tablespoonsOlive oil
½ teaspoonTurmeric
½ teaspoonCumin
To tasteSalt and pepper
Yamba Hummus
Pita bread

 

Slice mushrooms in thick strips. Cut the onion in half and slice in half rings the same thickness as the mushrooms.

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium high heat. Add onions and sautÚ for 3-5 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook for 3 more minutes.

Add spices and continue to cook until most of the liquid evaporates.

Plate the Yamba Hummus on a round plate, using a large spoon to push the hummus to the sides of the plate (creating a thin layer of hummus in the middle of the plate).

Pile the mushrooms on top of the hummus.

Serve with with fresh pita bread.
