Sartain's Buffalo Wings

For Blue Cheese Dip
½ cupCrumbled blue cheese
¼ cupMayonnaise
¼ cupSour cream
1 tablespoonMilk
1 teaspoonCider vinegar
¼ teaspoonSalt
For Buffalo Wings
2 teaspoonsGround cumin
2 teaspoonsPaprika
2 teaspoonsOnion powder
2 teaspoonsThyme leaves
1 ½ teaspoonsSalt
1 tablespoonMolasses
¼ cup plus 1 tablespoon (or to taste)Sartain's Menu
3 poundsChicken wings, "party style"
¼ cup (1/2 stick)Butter
Celery

 

Combine blue cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, milk, vinegar and salt in medium bowl; stir until well mixed. Set aside in the refrigerator.

Combine cumin, paprika, onion powder, thyme leaves and salt in large bowl; stir in molasses and 1 tablespoon (or more to taste) Sarain's Menu. Add chicken pieces and toss to coat.

Preheat oven to 450F.

Put butter and remaining 1/4 cup Sartain's Menu in small saucepan over low heat until butter is melted.

Place wings on large baking sheet. Cook in oven for 40 minutes, turning once. During last 5 minutes, brush with Sartain's-butter mixture.

Serve with Blue Cheese Dip and celery sticks.

Makes 8-10 appetizer servings.
